About MS in Islamic Studies:

A graduate with a Bachelor Degree in Islamic studies will need at least two years to obtain his Master’s Degree. During the first year, the M.S. candidate must prepare research specified by the Faculty Council. If he passes this stage, he will be permitted to work on a thesis for the Master’s Degree. The thesis defense will be scheduled after permission has been obtained from the supervisor and the advisor and upon approval of the Faculty Council. Based upon the evaluation of the thesis defense, the Master’s Degree is conferred as excellent, very good, good, acceptable or incomplete. A graduate with a Bachelor Degree in another major must take at least one to two years of supplementary courses selected by the Faculty Council from the school’s Bachelor curriculum. If the student passes these courses, he will begin preparing research specified by the Faculty Council. After successfully completing this stage, the student will be permitted to prepare a Master’s thesis. With the approval of the Faculty Council, a student is entitled to prepare his research if he has completed at least two-thirds of the required supplementary courses.
