Imaging is both an art and a science. The MRT program incorporates courses such as human anatomy and physiology, radiobiology and radiographic procedures, along with communication and patient care skills to care for and deal with diverse patient populations. Hospital training occurs in the areas of general radiology, emergency departments, operating rooms, intensive care units, and interventional units. MRT technologists also perform procedures such as computed tomography (CT) with and without IV contrast injections, angiography, mammography, etc… Through theory, simulation practice and extensive clinical experiences, students will acquire the ability to produce quality images to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of multiple system disorders.
