The Lebanese German University was founded by the Lebanese German Association for the Promotion of Culture (ALAC). Back in 1981, a group of Germans residing in Lebanon founded a non-profit NGO with the help of Lebanese friends in view of promoting and developing cultural and educational exchange between Europe and the Middle East – more particularly between Germany or other German-speaking countries and Lebanon, which is the heart of higher education in the region.
The Faculty has so far graduated five classes in the various departments: Physical Therapy, Medical Sciences Laboratory, Nutrition and Dietetics, Biomedical Technologies, Nursing, and Medical Imagery to respond to students’ aspirations and needs, it has also elaborated postgraduate and DPT studies that will soon be implemented. in other respects, it has always been very active in the organization of and participation in conferences and workshops on topics of prime interest to the medical world.
the Faculty of Business and Insurance at LGU can make a whole difference as it strives for the continuous development of students’ academic abilities and skills in order to provide local and global markets with qualified and competitive business leaders. It also aims to shape the personality of its students by implanting and strengthening in them business ethics and high academic standards, helping them stand out in the professional field.
As an acting dean of the Faculty of Education and Arts, it is an honor to welcome all students, especially new ones, and faculty members. We, at the Department of Education, both professors and students, are facing contemporary challenges to meet international standards and solve the ever increasing problems in modern education models and tools. Our stakeholders, professors, students, graduates, and schools are our main area of focus as we are engaged in creating value for a professional community. We have always aimed at graduating professionals able to make a difference in the schools they teach at.
