About BA in Communication Arts / Journalism:

Students who wish to major in Journalism will acquire the professional skills of writing for print and broadcast media; they will be taught the art and craft of excellent journalism. They will foster an appreciation for accuracy, fairness, truth and diversity. The major will focus on cultivating an understanding of the rights, roles and responsibilities of news media professionals and scholars in democratic society. All Communication Arts students are required to undertake internships pertaining to their respective area of emphasis. All senior students are to present a Senior Project as a condition for graduation.
