The program train students on the traditional public health core knowledge areas, (biostatistics, epidemiology, social and behavioral sciences, health services administration and environmental health sciences), while ensuring the cross-cutting and emerging public health areas including: Evidence-based Approaches, Public Health & Health Care Systems, Planning & Management to Promote Health, Policy in Public Health, Leadership, Communication, Inter-professional Practice (with Medicine and Nursing) and Systems Thinking. Courses address issues pertaining to public health in conflict and humanitarian crises and for interested students, there are opportunities to pursue a certificate within the MPH on these themes.
