About Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering (PhD):

The PhD program in Mechanical Engineering at AUB is designed to prepare students for careers in research, academia, or industry. Students conduct original research under the guidance of a faculty advisor and complete a dissertation. The program requires completion of 45 credits beyond the Bachelor's degree or 30 credits beyond the Master's degree, including coursework and research credits. Areas of research include solid mechanics, dynamics and vibrations, fluid mechanics and heat transfer, robotics and automation, or materials science and engineering.
